Interface Security Systems is looking to hire an experienced Software Developer to join our team in Plano, TX!

Interface Security Systems deploys a state of the art interactive digital surveillance system to multiple vertical markets and develops enterprise-class software to deliver best in class security and network management services to retailers, hospitality companies and other organizations with distributed operations.  

Role Description:

The Software Developer will be responsible primarily for the development and maintenance of mission critical Interface applications.  This responsibility includes Interface’s proprietary alarm and video applications, web-based portal, and CRM software.   The developer will play a key role in supporting, developing, and maintaining ASP.NET websites, web services, Windows services, and Winform applications using SQL Server, C# and the .NET Framework.


  • Be part of an agile/scrum development to develop software to support our life safety systems.
  • Work independently on certain tasks
  • Work with other developers/team members both onshore and offshore
  • Be able to produce high quality, efficient software to accomplish tasks for our business.
  • Some travel required.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 5 or more years of professional programming experience
  • Familiarity with C# and .NET using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or higher.
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET, javascript, JSON and JQuery.
  • SQL Server experience preferred.
  • Video streaming technology experience preferred.
  • Understanding of object oriented programming.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work with a high energy team.
  • Demonstrated ability to assimilate disparate technologies and deliver an appropriate solution to a given task.
  • Ability to work in and support a development environment that embraces process and creativity equally.

Position type and expected hours of work:

Standard office business hours with some expectations that there will be some off hours work for software releases and potentially support.

While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit in an office environment. Employee will constantly use a personal computer, keyboard and view multiple monitors. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach. The employee may be required to lift objects up to 20 pounds which may include company materials, files and small equipment.  Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to view reports, computer screen, video and camera detail of alarm activity, forms and operating manuals.

Work is performed indoors in a fluorescent lit work space at the employer’s office with minimal exposure to noise and adverse environmental issues.  Business travel may be expected for this position.
