Job Description

Interface Security Systems is actively seeking a detailed and team-oriented individual to join our company as a Service Dispatcher for the Alexandria, Louisiana branch.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Alexandria, LA Branch Service Dispatcher will report to the Operations Manager and will assist and support the sales and operations department with all administrative duties required to exceed customer expectations.  The ideal candidate is professional with strong communication and keen attention to detail and precision.  

SERVICE DISPATCHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate, Schedule and Book jobs for all Residential and small business installs.
  • Handle all Branch box sales, check in freight, and order parts.
  • Maintain technician schedules to ensure appointments are on time.
  • Create job packets for Installs. 
  • Ensure efficient flow of paperwork, reports.  
  • Work as a liaison between the Operations Manager and the Branch employees.  
  • Work as a liaison between the Home Office and the Branch.  
  • Audit paperwork for accuracy and content; Assist in keeping current job list accurate before it is pushed over to Sales Order Entry Team. 
  • Gather all required paperwork and information for closing tickets and send to branch closeouts. 
  • Provide support to sales representatives by generating sales agreements, proposals, work orders and presentations.  
  • Assist in other general Administrative duties that arise.  
  • Maximize office productivity through the use of Word and Excel.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.  

Requirements

SERVICE DISPATCHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior work experience as a dispatcher in the security industry is preferred.
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superb communication skills are a must. 
  • Excellent attention to detail required.
  • Ability to multi-task is a must!
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly motivated, organized and driven to work with a sense of urgency and resolve.
  • Consistently present a positive and upbeat attitude.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Minimum three years customer service and/or service dispatch experience (in a professional business setting).

SKILLS 

  • Microsoft Office proficient (especially Excel).
  • Critical and logical thinking required: the ideal candidate will learn the Interface processes and systems and possess the ability to work independently and successfully to resolve day-to-day issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
  • Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and follow tasks through to completion.
