The Regional Sales Manager will plan and coordinate the marketing and sales of products and services through the local/regional commercial sales force.  This Regional Sales Manager will support the day to day operations of the commercial sales force and monitor sales activities by assigning quotas to each sales representative with the expectation that the individual quotas will be met and/or exceeded each month. 



  • Provide the necessary sales recruiting, training and motivational programs to ensure Commercial sales objectives are met or exceeded.

  • Develop performance parameters for all sales staff and routinely evaluate productivity and progress in achieving these goals.

  • Define commercial sales personnel quotas, sales goals and assign geographic and vertical markets in order to achieve overall sales production goals.

  • Provide sales activity, forecast and production reports.

  • Develop, maintain and monitor a consistent and effective prospecting and referral program for all sales activity that will ensure that all territories are properly marketed and that we have an aggressive opportunity development effort.

  • Ensure that Interface’s clients are satisfied with our products and services.  Market new approved services and/or products to existing clients.

  • Actively promote Interface Security Systems, LLC in the marketplace through trade and other community organizations.

  • Interact with the Business Development Center (BDC) to ensure success of our lead development and management systems.

  • Review sales estimates, proposals and contracts for completeness and accuracy relative to Company guidelines.

  • Develop an effective working relationship with the Operations Department in order to ensure projects are installed as estimated, margins are maintained and complete customer satisfaction is achieved.

  • Work with commercial sales representatives in order to develop professional, quality, presentations and proposals.

  • Stay abreast of all product offerings in order to work with commercial sales personnel in developing sales strategies.

  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred.

  • Five or more years of sales management experience within the security industry.

  • Extensive experience working with large, regionally located sales teams, selling to both small to medium businesses (S-MB) and Core Commercial accounts.





  • Highly self-motivated and demonstrated ability to motivate others and build and maintain a successful sales team.

  • Proven track record in new business development and sales management.

  • Comprehension of strategic business and financial principles, including experience with sales models, forecasting, metrics and sales negotiations.

  • Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM

The employee is occasionally required to stand, crouch, kneel, climb or crawl to maintain files. The employee must frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds that could include company materials, files and small equipment.  Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to view reports, computer screen, forms and operating manuals.   Employee will also be required to travel by car or airplane.

    Work is performed indoors in a fluorescent-lit workspace at the employer’s office. Employee will also visit customer sites, and travel in their vehicle to and from sites. Employee may be required to travel by plane and stay in hotels during business travel.
