Level One Help Desk Job Responsibilities: 

  • Represents Interface Security Systems in a professional and positive manner in all situations.
  • Delivers legendary customer service to all by acting with a customer-comes-first attitude and connecting with the customer.
  • Identifies and responds to customer needs.
  • Investigate elevated cases and determine the appropriate solution based on diagnosis and execute the most logical fix.
  • Ensure all customer interactions are thoroughly documented within the case management system.
  • Requests and works with field operation personnel to ensure customer satisfaction including but not limited to: Resets and/or re-provisions of equipment, replacement of cabling, equipment swaps.
  • Works with vendors for incident resolution.
  • Handles the requests for spare replacements.
  • Handles overflow of incoming customer or field engineer calls/chats.
  • Interface with project or account management teams when necessary.
  • Meet established business objectives and comply with documented best practices.
  • Proactively maintain current product knowledge.
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate potential issues or challenges to next level.
  • Actively participate in a team environment.
  • Meets and exceeds business goals.
  • Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications of a Qualified Help Desk Representative:

  • Working knowledge of the TCP/IP stack, installation and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of the OSI Model Layer 1 through Layer 4
  • TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Frame Relay, DSL, ATM, Transport testing, CSU/DSU
  • VoIP experience a plus
  • Working with Wireless networks/devices is a plus
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task (type and talk, type and listen)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to an evolving environment
  • Possess strong computer proficiency
  • Demonstrate strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • 2 Year Previous experience within a technical helpdesk and/or network environment and/or customer service (preferably in a call center environment)
  • Available to work a flexible shift Monday-Friday
