Role Description:

The Information Security Manager oversees the maturation and maintenance of information security policies, identifies and supports security initiatives, establishes governance programs, leads risk assessments, and reports on activity and metrics to an executive steering committee. The Director of Information Security is the primary role within Interface Security Systems focused on risks relating to information security and privacy. This critical position collaborates with the teams responsible for applications, infrastructure, data, architecture, development, deployment, and operations as it relates to establishing and implementing a secure environment. This role works in direct partnership with other internal departments to ensure all ongoing activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of customer, employee, and business information comply with the organization’s information security practices.  The person in this role is a thought leader and visionary advocate; a consensus builder; and an integrator of people, process and technology.

Job Requirements

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10 or more years of IT experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field. 
  • Prior in an Information Security Management role is required. 
  • Demonstrated ability with compliance assessment, policy creation, and interaction with internal/external auditors. 
  • Understanding of application security methodologies.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certification related to IT security such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNA.
  • Knowledgeable with PCI and HIPAA.
  • Experience with intrusion protection and detections systems.
  • Experience with securing Active Directory and DNS.
  • Experience with security related to cloud services and cloud data.
  • Hands on working knowledge of malware and antivirus.
  • Demonstrated record of leadership in the development of innovation and change.
  • Capacity to thrive in an environment of change and to foster that capacity in others.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing projects utilizing standard project management tools and techniques.
