Interface is seeking an experienced Field Technical Services Supervisor to join our team in the Northeast.  The Field Technical Services Supervisor will manage and lead the installation and service department for the Northeast Region of the US.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the installation of Interface services which include fire and burglary alarms, CCTV, access control and digital voice. 

 

Essential Duties of the Field Technical Services Supervisor:

  • Ensure customer requests are handled in a timely and professional manner, always meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction expectations. 
  • Manage the coordination and scheduling of all installations and service.
  • Support sales team in the IP design and developing the scope of work intended to meet customer requirements and problem resolution. 
  • Ensure installation and service quality standards.
  • Manage inventory and purchasing process.
  • Ensure project profitability and job cost review of all jobs. 
  • Oversee the sales and service handoff process to ensure a smooth transition from the sales department to the installation department, and from the installation department to the service department.
  • Train installation and service personnel.
  • Oversee day to day activities of all Operations personnel.
  • Oversee vehicles including their routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the longevity of the company fleet.
  • Administer and follow Company safety policies.
  • Manage installation and service personnel efficiency by comparing time worked, hours billed, production accomplished and payroll.
  • Continually monitor costs through regular review of overtime, supply costs and "office time".
  • Oversee technical training and certification programs.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma minimum, college degree preferred.

3 to 5 years' experience in a supervisory role.

Must have previous experience with our standard alarm and network products.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

Understanding products and applications in the industry; in-depth knowledge of installation practices and standards; estimating skills; management skills; leadership skills and experience; computer literate; basic cost accounting skills.

Maintain industry certifications as required.

The employee must frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds that could include company materials, files, and small equipment. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to view reports, computer screen, forms and operating manuals.

While at the customer's site, the employee may be required to climb a ladder, carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., crawl or kneel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed indoors in a fluorescent-lit workspace at the employer’s office. The employee will visit customer sites.
