Interface is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team as a Field Customer Service Representative.   


The Field Customer Service Representative (FCSR) will work with Interface Customers and internal employees to ensure that our customer’s expectations are exceeded and that customer retention is maximized.  We are looking for a high-energy and persuasive candidate to add to our successful team!

This sales position focuses on the Customer experience, whether that is renewing agreements, resigning new home/business owners with existing security systems, upgrading security systems, or finding new leads and referrals to gain residential business. The sales Field Customer Service Representative is mainly focused on residential accounts in the area.   


The most important facet of the Field Customer Service Representative role is customer retention!  We want our Customers to trust in us and rest assured they are spending their security dollars in the very best way!

The Field Customer Service Representative is responsible for working with branch associates, inside customer service representatives (at the branch and home office), and the Secure Operations Center to help ensure that our customer's security needs are satisfied and that we meed and exceed expectations.  

The FCSR's primary business goal is to develop and maintain an intimate long-term relationship with all Customers in every way, every day.  We will touch them with informative customer mailings, directly via telephone or email, and of course, face to face to ensure that their needs are met.  Some responsibilities include:

  1. Focus on Retention!
  2. Resigns/Transfers/Moves/Renewals/Saves/Upgrades: It is your responsibility to ensure that every residential location with an Interface system is connected to our Secure Operations Center for monitoring services.
  3. Customer visits to sell additional services and ensure satisfaction, reselling our value and proposition.
  4. Train new customers and retain existing customers.
  5. Upgrade problematic/aging systems and signs/decals on Interface accounts.
  6. Total customer SATISFACTION.

Job Requirements

  • Some college preferred, but degree not required.
  • B2B/ Residential Sales experience required.
  • Electronic/Security Industry experience a PLUS.
  • Spanish speaking candidates a PLUS.


  • Excellent communication and phone skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proven record of resolving customer concerns.
  • Persuasive closer with basic understanding of contractual verbiage.
  • Highly motivated, organized and the drive to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • The ability and drive to present a positive attitude and provide excellent service to our Customers.
