Interface is seeking a professional and organized Cost Analyst to join the Cost Analysis Team in Earth City, MO.  The Cost Analyst is responsible for supporting the service operations within Interface by reviewing and posting completed service tickets and, where appropriate, billing customers based on contract terms or established T&M rates.  Additionally, analysts review and approve assigned subcontractor invoices; disputing charges considered excessive or inconsistent with contract terms.

The Cost Analysis team reports to the Director, Procurement & Logistics


  • Manage assigned group of customer service tickets and related billing activity;
  • Utilize customer contracts and established company T&M rates, daily review of completed service tickets to determine accuracy and if work performed is billable to customer;
  • Identify (and return for correction) tickets with missing or incomplete information submitted by upstream partners;
  • Research and respond to billing disputes submitted by Invoicing team;
  • Review and approve assigned subcontractor invoices; dispute charges not supported by internal data or contractual agreement;
  • Build effective relationships with internal partners and subcontractors;
  • Performs related duties as required.

Job Requirements


  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Ability to review and process large numbers of tickets in short period of time with urgency and accuracy;
  • Ability to research and review contracts to accurately bill customers;
  • Proficiency with MS Office product – especially Microsoft Excel;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Self-directed, with the ability (once thoroughly trained) to operate independently of regular direct supervision.
