The Project Manager will manage all aspects of a specific system or project in order to meet customer expectations and maintain a high level of quality through communication, customer service, installation, and service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROJECT MANAGER: 

  • Reviews project proposals and plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.  
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project and arranges for assignment of project personnel.    
  • Works with customer to ensure expectations are exceeded.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. 
  • Directs and manages the day to day work effort of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Prepare project reports for management, customer, and others as required.
  • Coordinate the use of sub-contractors as required.  
  • Attend all project meetings. 
  • Ensure that project meets any government regulatory or other government agencies standards if required.
  • Provide accurate work orders and job costing information to administrative staff.
  • Administer and follow Company safety policies.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Must possess strong technical/design experience, technical writing would be a huge PLUS


SKILLS and ABILITIES 

  • Maintain industry certifications as required.

  • NICET certification preferred.

  • PMP preferred. 

  • Maintain clear driving record. 

  • Burglary alarm background is a huge PLUS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is occasionally required to stand, crouch, kneel, climb or crawl to maintain files. The employee must frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds that could include company materials, files and small equipment.  Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to view reports, computer screen, forms and operating manuals. 

While at the customer's site, the employee may be required to climb a ladder, carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., crawl or kneel.

Work is frequently indoors in a fluorescent-lit workspace at the employer’s office. The employee will work at customer sites.
