SUMMARY: Procurement Specialist

As part of the company supply chain team, responsible for processing order requests, engaging vendors, and revolving purchase order and invoicing problems.  Works with Operations & Finance teammates to ensure internal and external customer needs are met. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Purchase equipment and supplies for internal customers, company sales & service.
  • Process parts return requests and warranty claims.
  • Communicate status updates regularly and resolve purchasing problems for internal customers.
  • Support A/P Departments in resolving invoicing issues.
  • Assists other departments in identifying alternate parts.
  • Cross-train to support procurement and logistics teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent. A college degree is a plus!
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, etc.);
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Self-directed, with the ability to operate independently of regular direct supervision;
  • Ability to work well within a cross-functional team environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand in a warehouse environment.  The employee is frequently required to talk or hear to interact with employees/clients.  The employee is frequently required to use the telephone.  The employee will frequently use a personal computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach. The employee will be required to lift objects up to 25 pounds that could include company materials, files, and equipment.  Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to view reports, computer screens, forms, and operating manuals.
