Interface is seeking an experienced and effective Collections Representative to join our talented corporate team in Earth City, Missouri!

Collections Representative Summary

The Collections Representative is responsible for all aspects of Commercial and Residential customer accounts receivable. Working closely with management, peers, and other departments to resolve customer issues and reduce past due amounts.

Collections Representative Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience related to customer focused/commercial credit and collections.
  • Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
    • MS Access and Visio are a plus.
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV or experience with Organizational ERP system.

Specific Job Duties of the Collections Representative

  • Make outgoing collection calls and answer incoming customer calls within established goals.
  • Resolve and reduce past-due customer account balances by collecting payment or processing credit as appropriate.
  • Recognize, communicate, and resolve cash application issues.
  • Utilize customer NAV receivable database to look up customer information, record notes, initiate collection letters and set tickler system.
  • Communicate and coordinate with necessary internal teams to resolve billing and service-related problems and disputes.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities. 
  • Work well with peers and leadership towards the common goal. 
  • Respond to customer inquiries within a reasonable time and resolve problems in an effective and customer-centric manner.  
  • Apply understanding of all Interface services and products.

  • Responsible for timely cash collections for assigned customers.

Specific Difficulties for the Position

  • Cash flow and budgetary constraints for personnel and software/hardware to meet deadlines.
  • Dependent on all upstream processes to resolve customer disputes.

  • Direct report to Assistant Manager, Credit, and Collections.

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to lift a box up to 50 lbs. in weight.
